Lora P. Buckley

Lora P. Buckley, 73, of Wells, passed away on Monday September 29, 2008 at Southern Maine Medical Center in Biddeford.

She was born on January 2, 1935 the daughter of Patrick J. and Susan (Jahn) Hastings in Clinton, Massachusetts, where she attended school and graduated from Clinton High School.

Lora was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and she treasured them all. She was an avid golfer and a member of the Vista Meadows Golf Club in Vero Beach, Florida. She loved to travel with her husband John and played Scrabble almost daily, was an enthusiastic Red Sox fan,and spent many years as a volunteer religious education teacher and a den mother for Cub Scouts. Mrs. Buckley was a resident of West Boylston, Massachusetts for forty two years and wintered in Vero Beach, Florida every year since 1992.

She is survived by her husband of fifty two years John F. Buckley; her two sons, John F. Buckley Jr. and his wife Lynne of West Boylston, Massachusetts, and Mark P. Buckley of Worcester, Massachusetts; two daughters, Susan M. Dick and her husband Carl of Saco, and Sharon A. Koegl and her husband Rudolph of Niskayuna, New York; one sister, Janet Garofoli of Clinton, Massachusetts; and nine grandchildren, Christopher and Bridget Dick, Kara, Rachel, Brendan, Phillip, and Brian Buckley, and Cassandra and Rudolph Koegl.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Most Holy Trinity Church of Good Shepherd Parish In Saco on Thursday October 2, 2008 at 9:00 AM. Arrangements are by Cote Funeral Home, Saco.
