Emily Forand Obituary

Emily (Grzych) Forand, 96, died peacefully Tuesday, September 30 in Radius of Southbridge.

Her husband of 50 years, Edward J. Forand died in 1986. She leaves one son: Edward Forand Jr. and his wife Carol of Southbridge. Two daughters: Carol wife of Paul Kondratowicz of Dudley and Doris wife of Thomas Sudjak of Mashpee. A brother Felix Grzych of Columbia, CT and a sister: Clara Cournoyer of Southbridge. 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was born in Dudley, the daughter of the late Stanley and Josephine (Duszlak) Grzych.

She worked as a Master Stitcher at the Sandlerette Shoe, retiring in 1974.

Emily lived many years on Lakeside Drive and then at Joshua Place in Dudley and enjoyed a few years at Christopher Heights in Webster. She was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, October 3 at 10 AM in St. Anthony Of Padua Church, 24 Dudley Hill Rd., Dudley. Burial will follow in St. Anthony Of Padua Cemetery, Webster. Calling hours will be Friday from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at Bartel Funeral Home & Chapel, 33 Schofield Ave., Dudley. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Western MA, 101 Plantation St. Worcester Ma. 01604.
