Frances Kosakowski Obituary

Frances G. (Bean) Ginn Kosakowski, 90, died Tuesday, Sept. 30th, in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester, after an illness.

She leaves her husband of 26 years, Edmond Kosakowski, they where married Sept. 11, 1982. She also leaves a step-son, Dennis Kosakowski and his wife Jeanne of Dudley; a daughter-in-law, Mary Kosakowski of No. Grosvenordale; two sisters-in-law, Thena Bean of Virginia and Nellie Kosakowski of Charlton; a granddaughter, Sara Kosakowski of Webster; a grandson, Adam Kosakowski of Sturbridge; a niece, Virginia Bean of New Hampshire and a nephew Bransom Bean of the Isle of Man. She was predeceased by her first husband, Delwin Ginn who died in 1971 and her son, Delwin Ginn, Jr., who died in 1962. She was also predeceased by her brother, Frank Rockwell Bean; three sisters, Geri Gajewski, Constance Lowden and Helen Barker and her step-son, Andre Kosakowski. She was born on June 24, 1918, the daughter of Frank and Marion (Lambert) Bean in Gilford, NH on a family owned farm, presently the Pheasant Ridge Country Club. She and her family arrived in the Sturbridge area in 1944.

She served on the Sturbridge Board of Registrars for 45 years and served on the Tantasqua School Building Committee. Frances owned and operated Frandel Kennels for 35 years. She bred, raised and groomed poodles and presented some in major dog shows in Boston, New York and Chicago, winning numerous prizes. She was a member of St. Hedwig's Church, Southbridge.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, Oct. 4th from the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, with a Mass at 10:00 a.m in St. Hedwig's Church, Everett St., Southbridge. Burial will be private. Calling hours in the funeral home will be held on Friday, Oct. 3rd from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the VNA of Southern Worcester County, 534 School St., Webster, MA 01570 or to the Summit Elder Care, 88 Masonic Home Rd., Charlton, MA 01507.

I was so sorry to read that your beloved Frances had passed away. I'm sure she is happily reunited with any animal companions she lost in her lifetime. My deepest sympathies are with you and your family.
