Over the past twelve years Steve and I were collegues and became friends while working on land design projects in Westborough. Steve was an excellent engineer and had a creative approach to his work. He was a man of integity and held himself to high stadards and challenged those around him to do the same. His great sense of humor made him a joy to work along side.
Steve will be missed but his memory will remain with our community for generations. The neighborhoods he designed at Walker Meadows and Westborough Village are testimony to the standard of excellence Steve achieved. I am proud to have known and worked with a man of his quality.

I work for NSTAR Gas Company and consulted with Steve on various construction projects while he was at Waterman Design in Westborough. I was always very impressed with his professionalism, his dedication, as well as his genuine warmth. I know I will miss him. Please accept my condolences, and my prayers, and may you his family find the grace, strength, and faith to get through this difficult time.

Diane and Family- we were so saddened today to hear about Steve's passing. Jack and Haley were so lucky to have spent so much time with "Uncle." He helped shape them into who they are today. The past few years for both of our families have been tough, but it was always so comforting to know that on any given day we could run into Diane and Steve at Dana Farber or at the Brigham! My mother was so blessed to have a visit from Steve while they were both hospitalized in Boston. In a strange way I think they both were comforted by seeing eachother during that rough time. We are thinking about you all at this time, and please know that your family and friends are here for you.

Diane,
I am so sorry for your loss, I am so angry that cancer has once again taken someone so great from our lives. "Uncle" was so important to the younger kids in my family and they all still glow when your name "auntie" is brought up. Even Kelly, at the age of 14!!! You both were truely an inspiration to my mother and she was so touched and felt so special that you went to visit her in the hospital just before she died. I think of you often, would love to see you soon. Please call on any of us McCanns/Fenlons for anything as we know too much as to what you are feeling.
We love you.

I had the pleasure of working with Steve on the Westboro Village Project. It was among the most rewarding work experiences I can recall. He brought kindness, talent, humor and unfailing professionalism to this work and his work relationships. It was an honor to have know him. Word of his passing has touched me deeply, but his well-lived life even more. My heartfelt condolences.

To the Farrington Family,
Steve was one of my favorite people to work with and a pleasure to know! When he came into the Planning Board office, he aways had a "huge" smile on his face and would share his latest "Harley adventures" with me. Steve will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
