Margaret Turini Obituary

Margaret "Peggy" T. (Santangelo) Turini, 95, of 161 Pine St. Ext., died Thursday, October 2, 2008, in Beaumont Skilled Nursing Center, Northborough, after an illness. She was predeceased by her husband, Dominic "Babe" Turini, who died in 1981, and two sons: Francis P. Turini, in 2002, and Richard D. Turini, in 2006.

She leaves a granddaughter, Cara Panzarella and her husband, Tony, of Marlborough; two grandsons: Joshua P. Turini of Clinton, and Stephen M. Turini of Hudson; four great-grandchildren: Abriana, Gianna, Julianna, and Anthony III Panzarella; a daughter-in-law, Kathleen Turini-Jones, of Lancaster; a sister, Rose Celona of Clinton; many nieces and nephews, including Rev. Paul J. Oberg, SSJ, of Birmingham, AL. She was also predeceased by four brothers: Stephen, Dominick, John, and Joseph Santangelo, and three sisters: Mary Caruso, Helen Kerrigan and Ann Femino.

Peggy was born in Clinton, daughter of Dominic and Flavia (Conjemi) Santangelo, and was a lifelong resident. She attended Clinton Schools.

A loving housewife, mother, and grandmother, she was active in the family business, Turini's Diner. She was a devout Catholic, and prayed the Rosary every day.

She was a former member of several women's clubs and social organizations in Clinton, and was a lifelong member of St. John the Evangelist Church.

Peggy's funeral will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2008, from the McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church St., with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church, 80 Union St. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Lancaster. A calling hour will be held from 8:45-9:45 a.m., on Saturday, prior to the funeral Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to EverCare, 950 Winter St., Suite 3800, Waltham, MA 02451.

Gram you were always an insperation to me and i loved and repected you .
we will miss you . espcially all the grand kids, and great grand children who will never know how how much you would have loved them

To all the Family of Aunt Margaret,
Sorry that I could not attend the funeral, your
thoughts and prayers are with me.
I will offer a Mass for her intention on Monday,
Oct. 6, 2008.
I was able to visit her in late July, God was good
to her, she was a remarkable woman who loved her
Church (St. John) and prayed everyday, her Faith
was her life and gift to others.
