I just heard about Bob today and I am deeply saddened. I worked with him at Turning the Corner (my first real job) and he was the best boss that I could have asked for; understanding, a true mentor and very funny. He will be missed; my heart is broken.

My heart is filled with sorrow. I was fortunate to become reacquainted with my cousin Bob over the past few years. He led a life of giving to his family, clients, and friends; clearly, a life well lived. I shall miss his booming voice resonating through the Greendale Y's locker room as he rendered his (usually humorous) reviews of the latest fortunes/misfortunes of the Boston sports teams. Our most heartfelt condolences to Kim, to all of Bob's children and grandchildren, to my cousins Dick and Donald, and to my Aunt Marie, who simply has had to suffer too much heartache in her life.

To Bob's family
I was a client of Bob's for almost 10 months now, my daughter also. We just found out about your loss. Bob was the best at knowing how to make a bad situation seem better. I never left his office without a smile. According to the receptionist, I was the last client he saw on Tuesday night. I also feel a profound loss in that bob was my confidante, but nothing hurt me more than the though of his children and family and your loss. My prayers are with you all.

We were both honored to have worked and hung out with Bob. He always had the best advice to offer, and exemplified living life to its fullest. As a social worker, he was exemplary. He taught us so much. He touched many lives very deeply and because of that, he will never be forgotten.

Kim, Gisele and family:
From commuting to UConn School of Social Work with Bob in 1993 to occasional breakfast meetings at the Gold Star Restaurant, I was able to spend time with a dedicated clinician, talented professional and family man. He embodied the definition of dedication and professionalism in clinical social work peppered with his fantastic sense of humor and interest in good music! He talked about you Kim and Giselle with the deepest respect and I felt honored to keep in touch with such a busy man. His ability to laugh with himself was a precious jewel and he gave me a lot of practical advice on raising my little boy. So so sorry for the pain but his time on this earth was jam-packed with a lot of professional and personal miracles.
