Harriet Levasseur Obituary

Harriet R. (Cummings) Levasseur, 104, North Grafton, formerly of Holden, died peacefully on Thursday, October 2, 2008 in Oakdale Rehab. & Skilled Nursing Center, West Boylston.

Her husband, Ricard G. Levasseur, died in 1968. She leaves her daughter, Barbara H. Galeone and her husband Nicholas of North Grafton; 4 grandchildren, Russell Jacobson of Holden, Carol Warrington and her husband John of Rutland, Sonya Richardson and her husband John of Brookline, NH and Christina Galeone of North Grafton; 6 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces. Her first husband, Oscar Jacobson died in 1948 and her son, Richard O. Jacobson, died in 1996. She is also predeceased by a brother and five sisters.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of William S. and Margaret L. (Mullin) Cummings, was raised in Barre, and lived 60 years in Holden before moving to North Grafton. She was a member of St. Mary's Church in Jefferson and enjoyed the outdoors.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling hour from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. on Monday, October 6th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 114 Princeton St., Jefferson. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Holden. Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army, 77 Cambridge St., Worcester, MA 01603.
