James Janovsky Obituary
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Patricia A. (Richardson) Janovsky; four children, Kevin Janovsky and his wife Donna of Whitinsville, Kenneth Janovsky and his wife Sheila of Holyoke, Patricia Picard and her husband Michael of Grafton and Pamela Gemme and her husband Rene of Sutton; twelve grandchildren, Amy, Adam, Kelly, Meagan, Tanya, KJ, Amelia, Jason, Erin, Matthew, Jenny and Brandon; ten great grandchildren; one aunt, Frances Newell of Readsboro VT; 1 nephew, Carmen Paglione of Grafton.
He was born June 4, 1937 in Readsboro, VT the son of the late Frank A. Janovsky Jr. and Gladys (Hatrwell) Janovsky and has lived many years in Grafton. Jim was a truck driver first with Hayes Oil Co. in North Grafton and then for 35 years with Roadway Express Co. retiring in 1996. He was a member of Teamsters Local # 170 Truck Drivers, AFL/CIO in Worcester and served over 20 years with the Grafton Fire Department retiring as a Lieutenant assigned to Engine Co. 2 and served in the Army National Guard. Jim enjoyed time spent with his family, particularly his grandchildren and many trips to casinos with his wife after retiring.
Funeral services will be private and there are no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made in his name to The Grafton Food Bank, 30 Providence Road, Grafton MA 01519 in lieu of flowers. Arrangements are in the care of Roney Funeral Home North Chapel, 152 Worcester St. North Grafton. A condolence book is available at:
