Pauline Julien Obituary
She was born in Southbridge the daughter of William and Leontine (Genereux) Lusignan and lived in the area all her life. Pauline graduated from Mary E. Wells in 1953. She worked 23 years as an administrative assistant to the town manager in Southbridge retiring in 2001. She was a member of the Elm Street Congregational Church and belonged to its bell choir, singing choir and was a past moderator. She enjoyed the theater and was a member and past president of the Gateway Players.
A Memorial service with the Reverend Patrick McLoud officiating will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, Oct. 5th in Elm Street Congregational Church, 61 Elm St. Southbridge. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Elm Street Congregational Church-Fuel Fund, PO BOX 723, Southbridge, Ma. 01550. A graveside service will be private. Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St., Southbridge is directing arrangements. An online guestbook is available at

It is a gift to have known Mrs. Julien. I remember her as always smiling and being so nice to others. Her warm and kind spirit is safe in heaven, the place that God made for us following our life on earth.

I am very saddened to learn of Pauline's passing. Of all the men and women I worked with over the years, I can think of no more competent and wonderful colleague, full of humor, intelligence and understanding of public service. Her example of loyalty and willingness to take on any task was extraordinary and showed all the meaning of devotion to the beautiful community of Southbridge!
