Janet Emmott Obituary

Janet L. Emmott, 69, passed away on October 3rd, in the Beaumont Nursing Home, after an illness.

She is survived by her son, David Emmott of Worcester; one brother, John Emmott of Worcester; two sisters, Shirley Grover of East Haven, CT and Nancy, wife of Richard Daley of Jefferson, MA, nine nieces and nephews and their extended families including; Jude and Corrine Mattero; her caretakers of East Killingly, CT, who loved her dearly, as well as two dear friends, Cheryl Sokowaski and Jan Fisher, both of Worcester.

Janet was born in Sturbridge, MA on May 22, 1939 to John and Jeannette (Angers) Emmott. She worked for the Worcester City Clerk's office for many years, performing administrative functions relating to births, marriages, and deaths.

All are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, October 7th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Graham, Putnam & Mahoney Funeral Parlors, 838 Main St., Worcester. A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery.
