I would to take this opportunity to thank all of the kind and loving people who made my Dad's last days on Earth comfortable. My sisters and brothers; Nancy, Donna, Patty, Sandra, John, David, Paul, Timmy, Leo, Danny, Mark, James, Scott and Michael. And most of all my Mother Marion for being so strong and helping us through this unfortunate time. I would also to thank all family and friends, nephews and neices, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
And last but certainly not least the Veterans association of Auburn who went above and beyond the call of duty. I love you all. Thank you and God bless.

Dear Papa John,
I love you so much Papa John and have a good day in heaven. I hope you like heaven. I know Grandma King said that she misses you and your family misses you and they love you so much. I know that Daddy misses you and I am taking good care of him.
I love you so much and really liked when I would come in and you would give me candy sometimes from your room.
Love,
Michael King
P.S. I also wanted to how the chowder was.

I remember Mr. King as a very warm man interested in helping the youth of Great Brook Valley. As a youngster & teenager, I participated in the Little League and Bastketball League he founded. He was a great man who helped many youths build character and integrity. I often reflect on the lessons of teamwork and caring he provided.

I think I found out where I got my love for basketball and I thank you very much for that. You were a great father and you paved the way for my own father to follow in your footsteps. I know my dad admired you so much. I will miss hearing your stories as well as you coming to pick up the soda bottles. I love you very much and you will always be in my heart.
