Claire Mazza Obituary

Claire L. (Jette) Mazza, 79, of Upton, died Sunday, Oct. 5, in the Geriatric Authority of Milford. Her husband of 24 years, Cosmo J. Mazza, died in 1995.

Mrs. Mazza was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Alphonse J. and O. D. Dora (Dupuis) Jette. She had lived in Upton for many years and then in Riverview, FL for 17 years before returning to Upton 12 years ago. She was a communicant of Holy Angels Church.

She leaves one daughter, Susan Dunphy, with whom she lived in Upton; three sons, Leonard Dunphy of Worcester, Dennis Dunphy of Upton, and Allan Dunphy of Tampa, FL; three stepchildren, James Mazza of NC, Gary Mazza of Petersham, and Virginia Hughes of AZ; two sisters, Elaine Roy of Millbury and Claudette Cleary of Colchester, VT; 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 10, from the Williams-Pedersen Funeral Home, 45 Main St., Upton

with a funeral mass at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Church, Milford St., Upton. Burial will follow in LakeviewCemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Gabriel the Archangel Building Fund, c/o Holy Angels Rectory, 2 Nelson St., Upton 01568.
