Charles Clish Obituary

Charles F. Clish, 83, formerly of Clinton, died on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at his residence in Baldwinville, after a brief illness.

He is survived by his nephews, Thomas A. Kilcoyne and John J. Kilcoyne, of Clinton; two nieces, Karen Hastings of Clinton and Kathleen Putnam of Hollywood, FL; caregiver and close friends Rosemary Wortman and Stephen Gardner of Baldwinville. He is preceded in death by his sister, Mary L. Fadgen.

Charles was born in Clinton to the late Charles F. and Catherine (Connor) Clish. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Clinton and was active throughout his lifetime with the Seven Hills Foundation in Worcester. Charlie took great pleasure in the outdoors, he enjoyed the company of others and will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor and joy that he provided to his friends and family.

Funeral services are to be held privately at St. John Cemetery in Lancaster and are under the direction of the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Charlie Clish to the Massachusetts Department of Mental Retardation-Fernald Association, 200 Trapelo Rd., Waltham, MA 02452.
