James McLellan Obituary
He was born in Somerville, son of the late John and Florence (Chisholm) McLellan. He was a graduate of Marlborough High School, Class of 1942.
He joined the Army Air Corp in WWII and retired as U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. In 1969 having also served in Korea and during and cold war. He was awarded Distinguished Flying Cross with Oak Cluster and (4) air medals.
He is survived by 2 sons: James McLellan of Burke, Va and John McLellan of Topham, Me., a daughter Kathy Plunkett of Holidaysburg, Pa.
He is also survived by 2 brothers: Neil D. McLellan of Rutland and Charles McLellan of Marlborough, 2 sisters; Catherine A. Fitzpatrick and Florence M. McNiff, both of Marlborough, also 8 grandchildren.
He was the father of the late Mary Lee Gurley of Ossipee, N.H. and brother of the late Christine Pappas and Donald McLellan of Marlborough.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, October 14 at 8 am at the John P. Rowe Funeral Home Inc., 57 Main Street, Marlborough with a Mass at 9 am at the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect Street, Marlborough. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery, Marlborough.
Visiting hours are Monday 3-6 p.m.
