L. Paugh Obituary

L. Patricia (McIndoe) Paugh, 76, of E. Palmer Park Dr., passed away October 11, 2008, at home, with her family by her side, after a long courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Born April 18, 1932 in Northumberland, PA, she was the daughter of the late Chester L. and Catherine (Shuey) McIndoe. Pat has lived in Palmer since 1965, previously residing in PA. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed candle pin bowling, the casinos and shopping. Her greatest love was her family and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her husband, James J. Paugh, Jr., along with her children, James Paugh III and his wife Patricia of Worcester, Michael Paugh and his wife Deborah of Richmond, VA, Kathleen Scarglia and her husband Dino of Webster, Jennifer Browne and her husband Steve of Glenwood, MD along with 8 grandchildren, James Paugh IV, Todd, Matthew and Stacy Ashford, Lauren and Amanda Paugh, Gabrielle and Olivia Browne as well as 1 great grandson, Landon Ashford. She also leaves her sister, Carolyn Stere of Williamsport, PA and was predeceased by her son, Thomas in 1994 along with her siblings Helen Dils, Donald J. McIndoe, Lamar "Mick" McIndoe, Claire Spade, Lorraine Leiby and Margaret Maloney. Pat is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the Second Congregational Church, 1080 Pleasant St. followed by burial in St. Thomas Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the D'Amour Cancer Center, 3350 Main St., Springfield, MA 01007 or to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 2141 Rosecrans Ave., Suite 7000, El Segundo, CA 90245.
