Paulyne Teehan Obituary

Paulyne R. (Witt) Teehan, 95, of Worcester, died Sunday, Oct. 12 in the Beaumont Nursing Center, Worcester.

Her husband John Teehan of Roslindale died in 1991. Her husband Wilbur Petersen of Chattanooga, Tenn. died in 1954.

Paulyne leaves a daughter, Judith A. (Petersen) Towler and her husband Gerald A. Towler of Worcester. Her four grandchildren, Jeffery A. Towler of North Brookfield, Peter G. Towler of Dudley, Neil D. Towler of Northborough and Amy E. Towler of Somerville, and four great-grandchildren.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late George M. and Margaret T. (Patterson) Witt and was the youngest of eight children.

Paulyne worked at Filene's in Worcester in the cosmetics department for many years.

She enjoyed shopping, fashion and bingo. She was a member of Holy Name Parish in West Roxbury before relocating back to Worcester several years ago.

The family would like to thank the staff on the 3rd floor of the Beaumont Nursing Center for their care during the past few years.

The funeral Mass will be Wednesday, October 15 at 11 a.m. in St. Joan of Arc Church, 570 Lincoln St., Worcester. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. There are no calling hours.

The Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster Street, Worcester is directing arrangements.
