Stephanie LaFlash-Surabian Obituary
Stephanie is survived by the love of her life, her son, Devin R. Peterson of Worcester; her devoted mother and stepfather, Pauline (LaFlash) and Mark Billings, with whom she lived; her father, Steven Surabian of Hyannisport; two beloved sisters: Angela M. and Tara M. Billings, both of Worcester; her paternal grandfather, Martin Surabian of Hyannisport; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Stephanie was born in Worcester, attended South High school and graduated from the Salter's School.
Stephanie worked as a personal banker for Citizen's Bank in Hyannis, before retiring in 2004 due to her illness. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Stephanie will be remembered for her strength, courage, and will to live.
Stephanie's funeral will be held Thursday, October 16th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Peters Church, Main Street. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family, Wednesday, October 15th from 5-8 pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Devin R. Peterson Educational Fund, care of TD Banknorth, 295 Park Ave. Worcester, MA 01610.

My condolences go out to the entire family... I am so sorry for your loss, my heart truly breaks. I went to high school with Stephanie and we were really good friends. We lost touch, but I remember her often; she was so much fun to be around. Shannon and Jessica - my heart goes out to you and the rest of the family.

my condolences go out to the family. Stephanie and i became friends almost ten years ago when our sisters introduced us. Our sons became friends as well. We spent alot of our time taking the boys bowling, skating, to the park and to shows at the centrum. I will always remember the good times we had, she was a great friend and i will miss her alot.

I was deeply saddened to hear the news of her passing. I worked with Stephanie before 2004 and want everyone to know that she was a devoted mother, loving sister, wonderful daughter, a person who never said a bad word about anyone. She spoke highly of all her friends & family. I remember her always having a smile. She will be missed! God take good care of her now that she is with you. Peace be with her family at this difficult time.
