Joseph Chaisson Obituary

Joseph D. Chaisson, 44, of 120 Homestead Road, died Saturday, October 11, 2008 in UMass Memorial Healthcare, Worcester, after a brief illness.

He leaves his wife of five years, Jessica (Trifilo) Chaisson; two sons, Andrew J. Chaisson and Jacob D. Chaisson, both of Holden; three daughters, Lillian D. Chaisson and Jillian and Nichole Benson, all of Holden; his parents, Francis X. and Muriel D. (Halloran) Chaisson of Worcester; two brothers, Francis X. Chaisson, Jr. of Auburn and John F. Chaisson of Charlton; five sisters, Joanne Ethier of Paxton, Donna M. Eaton of Oxford, Joyce A. Chaisson and Margaret E. Kirk, both of Worcester, and Maureen G. Chaisson of Ohio; and many nephews and nieces.

Joseph was born and raised in Worcester and lived there until moving to Holden seven years ago. He was a 1981 graduate of St. Peter Marian High School, and worked as a Carpenter for Griffin Interiors in Wilmington. He was a member of the local Carpenter's Union 107 in Worcester and St. George's Church. He enjoyed the art of his craft and produced many exquisite pieces both at work and for family and friends. He lived life to the fullest and those who knew him would say he could walk with beggars and kings. He adored his children and will be sadly missed by all.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. The funeral for Joseph will be held on Thursday from the funeral home with an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. John's Church, 40 Temple St., Worcester. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to the St. Benedict Abbey, 254 Still River Rd., Still River, MA 01467; or the Chaisson Children's Fund which will be established at a later date.
