Anne Avakian Obituary

Anne (Boyajian) Avakian, 92, died October 12, 2008, in Holy Trinity Nursing Home. Her husband of 56 years, Nishan Avakian, died in 1993.  She leaves a son, Robert C. and his wife Isabel Avakian of Franklin; a daughter, Susanne R. Avakian of Worcester; 2 granddaughters, Lori Morville and her husband Michael and their children Max and Eleanor of San Clemente, CA and Sona Avakian of San Francisco, CA; and nieces and nephews. Anne was born in Boston, daughter of Garabed and Vartanoush (Mouradian) Boyajian. She was a graduate of Watertown High School and worked as a clerk at Norton Co. and as an assembler at G.E. Telecron.  She was a member of Holy Trinity Armenian Church, ARS, and was an accomplished knitter. Anne was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

The family would like to thank the nurses, CNA's, and the hospice staff at Holy Trinity Nursing Home for their kindness and compassion.

Funeral services under the direction of Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street will be held Thursday, Oct. 16, at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Trinity Armenian Church, 635 Grove Street.  Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery.  There are no calling hours.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Trinity Armenian Church.
