Rita Cox Obituary

Rita Therese (Charbonneau) Cox, 92, of Worcester, died Tuesday, October 14th in Radius Healthcare Center.

Her husband, John P. Cox, died in 1965. She leaves her son, Daniel R. Cox and his wife Joan of West Boylston; four daughters, Rita I. St. Denis and her husband Francis of Auburn, Caroline M. Hutchinson and her husband George of Oxford, Eileen W. Lohnes and her husband Warren of Worcester and Patricia L. Inzerillo and her husband Sal of Worcester; nine grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; several nephews and nieces.She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Jules and Eloise (Roy) Charbonneau.

Mrs. Cox was employed by Barnards as a cashier and by the College of the Holy Cross as a matron. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.

The funeral is Friday October 17th from O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 600 Cambridge Street. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday, October 16th from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701 or to the Nazareth Boy's Home, 77 Mulberry Street, Leicester, MA 01524.

I only knew Rite for a few years ....but she is very very special to me. I love her spirit. She is so loving and she is such a fighter. I will miss our talks and laughing together. I will miss my dear friend.
