Suzanne Singer Obituary

Suzanne M. (Sanguinet) Singer of Westborough, died on Tuesday, October 14, 2008. She leaves her husband of 54 years, Gerald of Westborough: her daughter Susan Strug and her husband Christopher of Westborough, with whom she lived; her son Gerald Singer and his wife Linda of Springfield; her daughter Dianne Miller and her husband Steven of Lunenberg; her daughter Carolanne Tebbetts and her husband Gary of Shrewsbury; her brother Ronald Sanguinet and his wife Brenda of Shrewsbury; nine grandchildren and two nieces.

Suzanne was born in Shrewsbury, the daughter of the late Roland and Marie (Meunier) Sanguinet, and lived in Westborough for 45 years. She was a graduate of Shrewsbury High School and attended Bentley College. She was a Finance Manager in the Treasury Dept. of the former Data General Corp. of Westborough, retiring in 1966 after 25 years of service. Suzanne was a Notary Public and a member of the National Society of Notaries. She was the former treasurer of the Board of Trustees of the Villages at Walker Meadow. Suzanne was a long time member of St. Luke the Evangelist Church in Westborough, where she served as a CCD teacher, lector, and provided many baptismal gowns for the church. Her hobbies were quilting, cooking and sewing.

Her funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will follow in Saint Lukes Cemetery. Visiting hours at the Britton-Summers Funeral Home, 4 Church St. Westborough, will be held on Friday evening from 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Westborough Fire Dept. Ambulance Fund, 42 Milk St., Westborough, MA 01581, or the Worcester Telegram and Gazette Santa Children's Christmas Fund, 20 Franklin St., Worcester, MA 01605.
