Lucille Cyr Obituary

Lucille M. (Gaudette) Cyr, 82, formerly of 14 Paxton Rd., died Wednesday, Oct. 15 at The Meadows of Leicester.

She was the wife of Robert J. Cyr, Sr. who died in 1994. She leaves two sons: Robert J. Cyr, Jr. and his wife Diane of Spencer and David A. Cyr and his wife Betty-Jean of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a daughter, Donna C. Cyr of Auburn; a sister, Claire A. Cassavant of Spencer; two half brothers: Roger L. Gaudette of Spencer and Francis X. Gaudette of Webster; three grandchildren: Elizabeth DeCelle and Katrina Cyr; five great grandchildren: Benjamin, Katherine and Rebecca Cyr, Myrah and Allison DeCelle; and several nieces and nephews.

Lucille was a payroll clerk at American Athletic Shoe Co. in Ware for 18 years, retiring in 1985.

She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Leo L. and Bella (Mercure) Gaudette. She graduated from David Prouty High School and the former Peacock Academy for Hairdressing in Worcester. She was a member of St. Mary's Church. She enjoyed travel and especially her trips to Myrtle Beach.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 21 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday, Oct. 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Patient Activity Fund, c/o The Meadows of Leicester, 111 Huntoon Mem. Hwy., Rochdale, MA. 01542.

To all of you, We are so very sorry that we cannot be there to give our condolences in person. Aunt Lu was such a special person. Quiet but oh so loving. May she be welcomed into Heaven by all the others special " angels" from our family, who have passed before her.
