Marjorie Swenson Obituary

Marjorie E. (Knight) Swenson, 62, of 31 West Main St., died Friday, Oct. 17th in the Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester.

She leaves her husband, Lowell S. Swenson, Jr.; six children: Mr. and Mrs. Harry Swenson of Millbury, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Swenson of Millbury, Mr. and Mrs. Scott Swenson of Worcester, Mr. and Mrs. Alan Nelson of North Oxford, Mr. and Mrs. Tracey Swenson of Grafton and Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Moore of Millbury; her mother, Marjorie K. (Daubney) Knight; 22 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 2 expected great grandchildren; a sister, Claudia L. Barthelmes of Florida and a brother, Kenneth L. Knight of Millbury. She was born in Worcester and is predeceased by her father, Harry C. Knight and a sister, Robin R. Knight.

Marjorie owned and operated Swenson's Greenhouse and Interior Scape for 15 years. She was a past member of the Women's Unit 435 Ladies Auxiliary American Legion.

Her calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22nd in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury. Her funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. immediately following the calling hours, in the funeral home. Burial will be private in Central Cemetery in Millbury. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Rose Monahan Hospice Home, 10 Judith Rd., Worcester, MA. 01602. Condolence book and directions available at:

We are very sorry to hear about your lose. Marjorie was a very kind and thoughtful person. One kind thought out of many. I remember when she allowed me to stay with her for about a month in the mid 60's so I could go to work. She will be missed.
