William LeBlanc Obituary

William E. LeBlanc, 67, of 9 Herricks Lane, died in his home, surrounded by his family, on Sunday, October 19, 2008, after an illness.

His wife of 19 years, Margaret M. (Courtney) Savoie LeBlanc, died in 1999. He leaves 9 children: Linda L. Bates of Worcester, Tina M. Ford of Auburn, James S. Savoie, Mark E. LeBlanc, Robert M. Savoie, and Corey W. LeBlanc, all of Millbury, Michael T. LeBlanc of Hemet, CA, Jeffrey A. Savoie of Leicester, and Heidi A. LeBlanc-Payne of Coventry, RI; 25 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers: Alex, Roy, and Robert LeBlanc, all of Millbury, and Thomas LeBlanc of Juneau, AK; 6 sisters: Alice Bierch of Harrington, TX, Jeanne Angel, Anne Trottier, and Rita Jakubiak, all of Millbury, and Dora Harrington and Linda LeBlanc, both of North Grafton; and nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his parents: Edgar J. and Mary L. (Miller) LeBlanc; a brother, Raymond LeBlanc; and 2 sisters: Rose Moore Thibault and Loretta M. LeBlanc. He was born in Worcester on May 19, 1941, and was a lifelong resident of Millbury. He attended Millbury Memorial High School.

Bill was a construction worker for many years at DeSantis Masonry, Shrewsbury, before he retired. He was a member of Local 243, Laborers' International Union of North America, Auburn, and the Worcester Chapter of the Harley Owners Group. He enjoyed motorcycles, hunting, deep sea fishing, and traveling.

Bill's funeral will be Thursday, October 23, from Turgeon Funeral Home, 56 Main St., with a Funeral Mass at 11 AM in Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 10 Waters St. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday evening, October 22, from 5 to 8 PM.

We are very sorry for your loss, Bill was such a great guy...the world be be a less better place without him as he was such a nice man who would do anything for seemingly all who knew him - he was so kind to my family. Bill's suffering is over and he is in a better place and in no pain. May he ride in heaven as long as he likes as we all know Bill loved to do. We will miss him so much...I think everyone will....we can't say enough about this man - other then we were fortunate enough to know him. He will never be forgotten and we hope that your memories of him guide you through this this terrible loss now and forever!
