Howard Van Dyke Obituary
A lifelong resident of Sutton, he was born in Northbridge the son of Harriet I. (Barnett) Van Dyke of Sutton and the late Clarence "Klaus" Van Dyke and had attended Sutton schools.
Mr. Van Dyke was a self-employed carpenter and had also worked for several local contractors. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed the outdoors.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son Michael C. Brown of Englewood, FL. He was predeceased by a brother Donald Van Dyke who died in 1975.
Funeral services will be Thursday Oct. 23, 2008 at 2 PM in the BUMA FUNERAL HOME, 480 Church St., Whitinsville, MA 01588. There are no public visiting hours.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family in South Sutton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made the National Wildlife Foundation, 11100 Wildlife Ctr. Dr., Reston, VA 20190.
