Hubba was a major part of my whole life. From the time I was born till the time he left us he was always there. He listened to my joyful news as well as my tales of woe. He celebrated with me and consoled me. He advised me and corrected me. He was my Hubby and I miss him so terribly much. I know I will see him again and that gives me a lot of comfort...but it's still very hard not to be seeing him every day as I have for about the last 15 years. I love you Hubba.

Hubba was simply the best man I have ever known. He was my grandfather, my compadre', my mentor, and teacher. He will be missed a lot by all who knew him and especially by those who were lucky enough to be part of his family. The hole left by Hubba's passing can never be filled, but at least I can rejoice in my memories of him and the knowledge that he lived "like there's no tomorrow".

Hubba,
I'll miss seeing you sitting on the Flandreau's "old homestead" porch next door to our "homestead". You were part of my life growing up and I'll miss you! You were a sweetheart!

Uncle Jim,

I’ll miss the conversations we had sitting at Aunt Ann’s table, hearing the three of you Abuelo (Peter), Aunt Ann, and you reminisce about the old days in Spain and your earliest memories of America. Like the time that your older sisters cut your hair off to sell to a man in Perlio, Spain to be used on a statue in town. Ann said you had the most amazing hair as a child. I know the candy they bought with the proceeds was worth it! I have a few pieces of Uncle Jim’s handy work in my basement; a rolling wooden table saw platform complete with storage compartments, a dolly to move the saw around, and belts and levers to adjust the blade angle, built from scratch at least forty years ago and given to my Dad. The saw still looks and works great. Dad and Abuelo spoke so highly of your ingenuity with basically anything with moving parts. Things like the saw horses that have the extra platform on the bottom, you still can’t find anything like them. Or how about the baby bottles covers mounted on the wall so you could keep your screws and nails in the accompanying glass jars for easily accessible, viewable use, genius! Thanks for being you, Uncle Jim, you’re one of a kind and we’ll miss you dearly.

Love,
Jason

To my Uncle Jim; I will miss you and those long conversations when we were working at the same company. Your insight and your always positive attitude has always inspired me and will so after your passing.
