My Dear Jean, George has gone to be with GOD and he went in his sleep-- How lovely. Our prayers for him have been answered. Please know that my thoughts are with you and your family. He will always hold a special place in my heart, and he was a GOOD friend. Whenever I say his name a smile is on my face. May you find peace and joy in the memories of your life together -Do Not SORROW. May you find comfort in the knowledge that he is safe and secure in the arms of GOD. Thinking of you. GOD BLESS YOU. Beloved cousin. Hero of WWII. One of the "greatest generation". Much like his Dad, in ways. I will miss him. Plan to attend the funeral.

My dear cousin George was loved by us all--such fun as a child, sometimes getting his brother, Ralph, and me in mischief, of course. Later he inspired us all by his faith, love, fun, leadership, help to all--officiating at our daughter Maggie's wedding, presiding at my mother's funeral, and so on and on...
