My Dear Jean, George has gone to be with GOD and he went in his sleep-- How lovely. Our prayers for him have been answered. Please know that my thoughts are with you and your family. He will always hold a special place in my heart, and he was a GOOD friend. Whenever I say his name a smile is on my face. May you find peace and joy in the memories of your life together -Do Not SORROW. May you find comfort in the knowledge that he is safe and secure in the arms of GOD. Thinking of you. GOD BLESS YOU. Mary -Ann Hastings

Beloved cousin. Hero of WWII. One of the "greatest generation". Much like his Dad, in ways. I will miss him. Plan to attend the funeral.

My dear cousin George was loved by us all--such fun as a child, sometimes getting his brother, Ralph, and me in mischief, of course. Later he inspired us all by his faith, love, fun, leadership, help to all--officiating at our daughter Maggie's wedding, presiding at my mother's funeral, and so on and on...
