Kathleen Gallant Obituary
She leaves her two sons, Gerald W. "Jerry" Madore and his wife Jodi of Wales, and Michael F. Fuller of Auburn; her mother, Olive V. (Moe) Gallant of Auburn; her two close cousins, Maureen Carroll of Auburn and Christine Steadman of Leicester; her companion, Wayne Grabowski of Auburn, as well as her two grandchildren, Gus and Gwen. She was predeceased by her father, William C. Gallant, and by her aunt, Patricia Connors.
She was born in Worcester and has lived in Auburn for many years. She graduated from Auburn High School in 1966 and attended the Art Institute of Boston. Kathy worked as a driver for Laidlaw in Worcester for several years before retiring due to illness. An accomplished artist, Kathy created may beautiful sewn and knitted pieces that family members have truly enjoyed. She also loved gardening, to read, her wonderful dogs, but especially spending time with her family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, Oct. 22nd from 5-7 PM in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St., Auburn. A funeral service celebrating Kathy's life will be held on Thursday, October 23rd at 11 AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Kathy tried so hard to pass on any number of her skills to me, but her talent was innate, and she knew how to do so many things so well. I appreciate all she taught me, and as the mother of two sons, know how much she loved Michael and Jerry, and how incredibly proud she was of all of your accomplishments. Please know how deeply saddened we are by your loss, and that my family is here to do whatever is needed, despite our distance.
