Anna Butkewich Obituary
She leaves a son, Michael S. Butkewich; two daughters, Christine A. Butkewich and Susan L. Martin and her husband Steven, all of Worcester; and a grandson, Stefan. She was predeceased by two brothers, Frank and Joseph and four sisters, Loretta, Sophie, Helen and Josephine. She was born in Norwich, CT, a daughter of Walter and Pauline (Herbst) Byczkowski.
Mrs. Butkewich owned and operated Anna's Beauty Shop for many years before retiring. Anna attended St. Mary's Schools. She was a "lifelong learner" receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Arts at the age of seventy-two from Clark University. She also was an avid traveler who made many trips to Poland.
A funeral will be held on Friday, October 24, from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., with a Mass at 11:30 a.m in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 341 June St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home are Thursday, October 23, from 6:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01710.
