Charlotte E. Kotomski

Charlotte E. (Taylor) Kotomski, 82, was taken into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 15, 2008 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Charlotte is survived by 2 sons, Paul H. Kotomski and his wife, Deborah of Bradenton, Florida and Charles S. Kotomski and his wife, Linda of Spencer; a beloved daughter and primary caregiver, Joanne C. Kneeland and her husband, Richard of Sterling; a grandson, Daniel and his wife Jessica of Webster; and a great grandson, Dorian Kotomski of Florida.

She was predeceased by her husband, Henry P. Kotomski, who died in 1983 and her beloved son, John Robert Kotomski, who died in 2000. She was born on February 20, 1926 in Worcester the daughter of Clarence R. and Esther V. (Short) Taylor and graduated from St. Peter's School in Worcester. She worked as a secretary for the Norton Company while her childhood sweetheart, Henry served in the Navy during World War II. Upon his return they married in the Holy Rosary Church on October 12, 1946. They shared life, love, and laughter for 37 years.

Charlotte graduated from the nursing program of David Hall Fanning Trade School and worked as a surgical nurse for 22 years at St. Vincent Hospital. She lived in Worcester most of her life before moving to Sterling 16 years ago. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Church in Worcester and St. Richard of Chichester in Sterling. She loved visiting with family and friends, listening to her talking books, and chatting about "the old times."

Charlotte was a quiet woman with a heart of gold. She was always happy for the good fortune of others and prayed the Rosary for those in need of prayers. She was a strong believer in her faith and love of Jesus Christ. She kept her problems, pains, and sufferings private and prayed and forgave those to blame with a kind spirit. She was a special lady and will be missed by many. Mom you have a special place in our hearts and souls, we will love you always, so rest now for you truly have earned it.

Per her wishes her funeral service was private. She was laid to rest at Worcester County Memorial Park on October 22, 2008. Her family would like to offer a special thanks to Dr. Thomas Walsh and VNA Hospice. Miles-Sterling Funeral Home, 100 Worcester Rd., Sterling, assisted the family with arrangements.
