Sophie Kuczka Obituary

Sophie M. (Magerowski) Kuczka, 90, of Worcester, died Friday, October 24, 2008 in Knollwood Nursing Center, West Boylston. Her husband Walter F. Kuczka died in 1978.

She leaves a son, Robert Kuczka and his wife, Anne Marie of Auburn; a daughter, Suzanne Cole and her husband, Peter of Newton; four grandchildren, Laurie Jones of Shrewsbury; Robert Kuczka, Jr., of Rutland; Jonathan Cole and Marena Cole, both of Newton; a great-grandchild, Kaylee Kuczka of Rutland; two brothers, Thaddeus Magerowski and Joseph Magerowski, a sister, Wanda Berestin, all of Worcester and many nieces and nephews.

Born in Worcester and a life long resident, Mrs. Kuczka was a daughter of John and Franceska (Szlachetka) Magerowski. She worked at David Clark Co., for many years as a link netter, retiring in 1982. She was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family members.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday, October 28, from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., with a Mass at 10:30 am. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home will be held on Monday, October 27, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Czestochowa Memorial Fund, 34 Ward St. Worcester, MA., 01610.
