I have very fond memories of Mr. Long, and Longs Clothing Store..My closet was full of great looking outfits......Clinton was a better town because of people like Mr. Long.
My deepest sympathy to the Long family... May he rest in peace.

I was introduced to fine quality clothing, and received excellent counsel from Mr. Long when I was a young girl. I loved going into Long's, and trying on the lovely clothing there. I fell in love with the perfect green coat one year. Mr. Long, complimented the fit, and perfect style and color it was for me. He allowed me to put that coat on lay-a-way, as I was just beginning my working career. I wore that coat for many years. How I'd love to have a place like that in Clinton today. I always appreciated his willingness to find a way to allow a young working girl the opportunity to buy such nice clothing. He was always very kind to me, especially during some of the hardest times in my life. How sad we aren't always aware of the sacrifice of service to our country, until it is too late to say a word of thanks. My sincerest sympathies to the Long family.
