Long ago and far away, Bill was a good friend of mine. We had a lot of good times back in Douglas I´ll never forget him and the crazy times that we had.

These words are very hard to say,
for a part of me went with you that day. My life will never be the same,
you made me realize that life just is'nt a game.To forgive and forget,to love and laugh, cherrish your loved ones, thats what you would say. Live life to the fullest each and every day. I call you sometimes, I need to hear, your voice, your words I shed a tear. I can never forget that tender voice, it will stay with me in such a way. For a part of me went with you that day. When I think of you I always start to cry, its hard for me to understand why. Why he took you, why now. Its hard for anyone to say. For a part of me went with you that day. So to my dearest Father who I love, and miss so dear. You will always be a part of me, which I hold so near. Please keep me safe, and out of harms way. These words were very hard to say, for a part of me went with you that day.

Your Loving Daughter,
Tina (Bliss) McCarthy

To: Cousin Bill
Our greatest memory is the devotion you had for your sister, Betty Clark. You were always there for her no matter how busy you were. Glad we got to have a fun day on your boat in RI and will always remember that hardy laugh of yours. Our Love to your family,

The most wonderful thing about Uncle Billy was the fact that he had NO idea what a wonderful person he was. He was always there for everyone else and made any time a fun time if you were with him. No need to mention his infamous laugh :-)

William, big daddy, was an honest, hardworking and charactor that was always the life of the party. he loved his family dearly and would always know how to turn a frown upside down. he was fun to be around and there was never a dull moment when he was in the room. if ever in need all you had to do was call him up and with a grin he would be over ready to help. with love in our hearts he will always be remembered

Ahhh Bill, Are you up to any mischief in the life here after?? Hope so. First met you back in 1998 when you had the old Hatteras on the old E dock. The adventures with you and associates on E dock are for the memory books at Warwick Cove Marina!!!! There was most certainly something missing this summer, and it was you. Rest now, and watch over everyone!

Uncle Billy...I will miss your boat stories and your laugh. I'm so happy I was able to be a part of your life for the past few years. I'll always remember the day we found out we had the same birthdate. Since then we celebrated together...and you will now always be a part of our celebrations on June 23rd. You will be remembered and missed by all of us, especially me. I love you and now have so many memories and pictures to share with everyone.

My condolences go out to all of my brother Bills family and friends.

Bill had a heart of gold and absolutely loved, and was loved, by everyone he met. He was unique in so many ways, and always helped anyone in need.

There was always laughter and great stories whenever we were with Bill. He always wanted to be with his family, and was proud of his family heritage.

I will always cherish the great memories we had growing up on our family farm in Wilbraham.

I will remember you forever, Bill.

Your brother, Gordon.

To Les, and Gordon,

I'm truly sorry for the loss of your brother Bill. I had the pleasure of performing for him at a "blues festival" he had at his house when he lived in Douglas, MA.

Ah Billy- I ran off and joined the Navy, so didn't have the chance to get know you as well as the rest of the Murphys. That is truly a shame. My parents and brothers loved you and often told stories about your adventures with my father. When you see Frank give him a hug and hoist one to life's adventures and loves. ps loved the lobster dinner I had on the boat with you and my folks that day, so love ago.

Billy Bliss was my favorite person on the entire east coast.I have been telling my friends stories about billy for years. He had some of lifes toughest challenges yet still had a smile and easy laugh.I worked with Bill for a bit in the 80.s. he told me the only time his back didn.t hurt was when he was working so when he would get home after working he would work on digging out a basement under his house. He dug the entire basement out by hand!Good luck on your next great adventure Bill,we will miss you and cherish your memories
