Gerard Letourneau Obituary

Gerard P. "Jerry" Letourneau, 68, of Worcester, passed away Saturday, October 25th 2008, in the UMass Memorial Healthcare, Memorial Campus.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 48 years, Eleanor M. (Erickson) Letourneau; three children: Nancy J. Letourneau of Shrewsbury, Deborah A. Letourneau and her husband Pietro D'Arace of Monza, Italy, Paul G. Letourneau and his wife Geneva of Auburn; three grandchildren: Paul G. Letourneau Jr., Ashley Letourneau and Valeria D'Arace; a sister, Sandra Leyden of Worcester; two brothers: David Letourneau and his wife Rose of Millbury, Kenneth Letourneau and his wife Deborah in Texas; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

Jerry was born in Worcester, a son of Gerard and Lorraine (Brunette) Letourneau. He graduated from Worcester Public Schools, worked 24 years for the former Johnson Steel & Wire Co. He continued to work for another 22 years for the City of Worcester, Dept of Public Works, before retiring a year ago. Jerry enjoyed his family and coffee with his friends at Culpepper's.

The family would like to thank his sister, Sandra and his best friend, Don Bobbard who were there for him when he needed them.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 30th at 12 noon in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Burial will follow in All Faiths Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to a period of calling hours from 10:30 to 12 noon at the funeral home.
