Phyllis Kelleher Obituary

Phyllis T. (Plause) Kelleher, 79, of Whitinsville and Northbridge passed away surrounded by her family and friends at Rose Monahan Hospice in Worcester. She was the wife of the late Lawrence W. "Bud" Kelleher who died in 1974. The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to her caregivers there who provided the highest quality of care to Phyllis during her illness.

Phyllis leaves behind a daughter, Jeanne Huffor; a son-in-law, Michael and 5 grandchildren: Joseph, Robert, Cheyenne, Shannon and Andrew. In addition, Phyllis is survived by a niece, Patricia Tache and her husband Paul; nephews, Larry Pelkey of St. Petersburg, Michael Pelkey of Key West; a grand-niece, Lisa Haberski; a grand-nephew, Christopher Lewis; a great-grandnephew Justin Haberski and numerous cousins. She was predeceased by a sister Barbara Fafard.

Phyllis was born in Worcester on Dec. 17, 1928 the daughter of the late Arthemise (Suprenaut) Plause. She was raised in Worcester and graduated from Commerce High School in 1946.

Phyllis was employed as a comptometer operator for Nissan Bakery for 29 years. Upon retirement, she moved to Port St. Lucie, FL. and returned to Massachusetts in 1999.

Funeral services will be held Fri., Oct. 31, 2008 from the BUMA FUNERAL HOME, 480 Church St., Whitinsville, MA 01588 followed by a Mass of the Resurrection at 10 AM in her beloved St. Patrick's Church, Cross St., Whitinsville. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Cambridge St., Worcester.

Visiting hours will be Fri., Oct. 31, 2008 from 8:30-9:30 AM, in the funeral home, prior to the Mass.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to the Rose Monahan Hospice Home, 10 Judith Rd. Worcester, MA 01602.
