Leo Brosnan Obituary

Leo Brosnan, Jr., 75, of Worcester, passed away Monday, November 3, 2008 in the University of Massachusetts Hospital.

Leo is survived by a brother, Ronald Brosnan and his wife Katherine; a sister, Elizabeth A. Hazelhurst all of Worcester; nieces and nephews. Leo was born in Worcester; his parents were the late Leo J. Brosnan, Sr. and Gladys M. (Prenier) Brosnan. He graduated from St. John's High School where he was a standout baseball pitcher, leading St. John's to several titles. He has lived here all his life.

Leo once worked as a steam fitter for the Worcester State Hospital before retiring.

The funeral will be held Friday, November 7th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. John's Church, 40 Temple St. Burial will follow in St Johns cemetery. A period of calling hours will be held Friday, November 7th from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m prior to the funeral. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Jimmy Fund, care of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place, West, 6th floor, Brookline, Mass, 02445.
