To the Ellis Family,
We're sorry to hear the news about Peter, Jr. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Peter introduced us to Jonesport several years ago, we enjoyed spending time with him & getting to know him. He sure loved people, the Patriots, Albert's clams, but most of all, he always had a positive outlook on life.

To the Ellis family,
Peter was such a beautiful person inside and out. We didn't see Peter on a regular basis but when we did he was all smiles. I will remember the canoe rides on Hopedale long before his accident and dancing with him in his wheelchair at a wedding. He was truly amazing and you should be proud.
Our thoughts are with you,

To The Ellis Family,
I am so very sorry for your loss. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Peter was such an inspiration to my nephew Scotty. After Scotty's accident, which confined him to a wheelchair, he met with Peter, who showed Scotty that there is still so much life to be lived. Scotty so appreciated the Patriots tickets Peter would give him when Peter couldn't go. Peter was always surrounded by friends and family because he had such a wonderful and positive attitude about life, it was infectious. I know he will be sorely missed by anyone whoever had the privilege to meet Peter.
All my love,
Patty Dwyer

One of a kind. In or out of a wheelchair, Peter was one of a kind. And what a flirt. I saw Peter several years after the accident at a bandconcert in Hopedale, and the first thing he said to me was, "Patty, come over here and sit on my lap. I'll take you for a spin." Generous to a fault, warm, kind, loving and always one of a kind. xo

Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Ellis Family during this difficult time. I had the opportunity to meet Peter at one of Craig’s Birthday celebrations at Jane’s house years ago and was impressed with his overall presence/demeanor. Just an overall nice gentleman to talk to,.
He will certainly be missed.

To the Ellis Family,
Although I left Hopedale when I was 14 I remember going to school with Peter (we were in the same class)and what a kind person he was. May you all find comfort in knowing how many people Peter touched during his too brief time on this Earth.

I've known Peter since I was a young girl; he lived up the street from me on Dutcher Street in Hopedale. Throughout my adult life Peter was always a good friend to me. If ever I needed someone to talk to, he was always there with his "words of wisdom". I will treasure our friendship and remember the good times, like vacationing with him and his family in Jonesport, ME.
I can see him now as I close my eyes. He's happy, standing on his own two feet, along side our Lord.
I will miss you dear friend.

To the entire Ellis family.
I could write a book about the countless wonderful times that I had with Petey. He was the most welcoming person that I have ever known. His door was open to all and he never judged and was honest.
Peter took me to my first Patriots game when I was 18 and several more since. I'm going to miss popping in at any time of the day and always being welcomed with his arms opened out wide to me.
And his Sunday morning ritual of listening to the blues.
I enjoyed cooking and baking for Peter. Especially "our" Liver and onion dinners and how much he adored my brownies.
Peter will always be with me and the countless people that entered his life. Here is to Pete who I believe was handed a pair of running shoes with his wings.

To the Ellis family,
I had the chance to speak with Pete only a few week's ago and we talked about some of the times I spent with him hunting, he spoke about loving to watch the sun come up and watching the wildlife start to stir. I enjoyed those moment's too and will never forget them. When I think of Pete it will always be with a smile.
I would like to offer my condolences for your loss and hope you are all doing well.

Dear Ellis Family,
Although we did not know Peter personally, Steve, Lynne, and the boys always spoke so warmly of him, that we felt we knew him very well. Their faces lit up at just the mention of Peter's name. We can tell that he touched their lives so very deeply. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you celebrate Peter's amazing life. We have made a donation in his name to the VNA.
Warm Regards,

Mr & Mrs Ellis and Family, Please accept my condolences. I am very blessed to have met Peter many, many years ago. We use to see basketball games in Hopedale together. He use to give my neighbor and myself rides to school, just because. Peter knew how to make people laugh (me anyways) when feeling down. May the memories of Peter comfort you for the days ahead. Rest in Peace my friend.

Thankfully I was lucky enough to have met Pete a few times; and from what I saw he let nothing get in the way of what he did or wanted to do. He was truely a sweet / soft spoken person. My son at the age of two years old wasn't at all scared of his apperence; he acctually ran up to him and wanted to play with the buttons on his chair.. I think that is because of the vibe Pete gave off when you were around him. He made me feel very thankful, and like my life wasn't so bad! Im so sorry for his family and friends loss's...but to my knowledge this man proved doctors wronge and blessed everyone who knew him with years and years of lauphter and memories<3 Remember those memories and never forget "He's waiting for you"

Mr.&Mrs. E. and all of the family.
We have all lost a very big part of our lives. From the first time I met Pete until Friday he was a true inspiration to me.He taught me that no matter how different you are that you are not different. He always would say to me if you can die and count the number of people on one hand that you are willing to put before yourself than you can die a lucky man. Well Pete you will need a lot more hands.

Peter was truly unique. His home was always open to his many friends. It was a fun place to visit for stimulating conversation or to watch sports or to play cards or to join in on any other activity in which he may have been engaged. You never knew who might be there or who might drop by. Peter was intelligent and fun and attracted people of all ages and from all walks of life. He will be missed. My deepest sympathy and condolences to Peter's family and to his friends.

Warm summer sun,

Warm southern wind,

Dear Pam, Doug, Sarah & Dan:
We are so sorry for your loss of Peter. He lived a good life in spite of his limitations because of the devotion of his family and friends. I remember him at your 40th birthday party, Pam...with a twinkle in his eye as he told me what you were like as a teenager! Peter is just behind another door now. One you can't go though. But just imagine him getting up and out of his chair and walking along a beach somewhere in Heaven. What a glorious sight that would be. Hold onto that and your memories. His love is with you always. Our hearts and prayers go out to you, Bump and Nana, Steven and Rick and their families. We lub U.
