Robert Jefferson Obituary

Robert T. Jefferson, Sr., 75, of Brookfield passed away Sunday, November 30, surrounded by his loved ones at the Overlook Masonic Health Center, Charlton, after a courageous battle with cancer. His wife of 51 years, Barbara A. Jefferson, died in 2003. He was predeceased by a brother and two sisters.

Born in Worcester, on December 26, 1932 he moved his family from Worcester to Brookfield in 1961. He is survived by his son, Robert T. Jefferson, Jr.; a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Jefferson; a daughter, Dianne L. Cross, and a son-in-law, Jeff Cross, all of Brookfield. Additionally Mr. Jefferson had three grandchildren, Shea Jefferson of Perkiominville, PA, Melissa Caito of Whitinsville, and Jenna Cross of Charlton. He also had two great-grandchildren, Thomas Caito III and Callanan Caito.

Mr. Jefferson was a world renowned expert on vintage Rolls-Royce and Bentley automobiles. He owned and operated Sports Classics Ltd. a business dedicated to the restoration of Rolls-Royce and Bentley motorcars. He loved working on these cars and he often said his work was his hobby.

Funeral services are private and in lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 7 Oak St., Worcester, MA 01609. Pillsbury Funeral Home, Old West Brookfield Rd. is directing arrangements.

I just learned of bob's passing and i am truely sorry for his families loss. I was his uniform delivery guy for the past few years, and i always enjoyed his smile on tuesday mornings.
