Gladys T. Cline

Gladys T. (Capone) Cline, 80 of Worcester, died peacefully Saturday, August 18, 2007, at home, surrounded by her loving family.

Gladys is survived by her husband of 50 years, Harold B. Cline; a daughter, Catherine Mangaudis and her husband Mark of North Oxford; 4 grandchildren, Matthew, Melyssa, Emily and Nicole; a brother, Michael Capone of Worcester; her beloved nephew, Steven Siam and many nephews and nieces. Gladys was predeceased by 5 sisters, Rose Bellofatto, Helen Siam, Anne and Dorothy Capone, Mary Pawlina and a brother, Domenic Capone.

Gladys was born in Worcester daughter of Valentino and Vincenza (Solitro) Capone, and lived here all her life. She was a graduate of David Hale Fanning School and enjoyed being a homemaker. Gladys was a talented oil painter and enjoyed baking and cake decorating. She had a beautiful voice and sang on several local radio stations and nightclubs in the Worcester area. Her most treasured times were spent with her family, most especially her grandchildren. Gladys will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She was a long time member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St. Ann Church.

Gladys' funeral will be held Wednesday from the MERCADANTE FUNDERAL HOME AND CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 AM in our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St. Ann Church 24 Mulberry St. Calling hours in the funeral home are 5-8 PM on Tuesday. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
