She also leaves her parents, Paul and Genevieve Puris of Worcester; step children, Nicole Corona, John-Andrew Saucedo of San Antonio, TX, a grandson, Xavier Rodriguez of San Antonio, TX; two brothers, Richard Puris and his wife, Diana of Westford, MA, Philip Puris and his wife Gail of Jefferson, MA; a sister, Karen Shearns and her husband Chuck of Auburn, MA, four nieces, Elizabeth and Kristina Puris of Jefferson, MA and Kayla and Olivia Shearns of Auburn, MA, and numerous close friends.

Janice was born in Worcester, MA and worked in the Assessor's Office for the Town of Oxford. She graduated from Marian High School and attended Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester. A funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 22, from HENRY - DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., Worcester, MA with a Mass at 12:00 pm in St. Casimir Church, 41 Providence St., Worcester, MA. Juan, my heart goes out to you and the entire family you share with Janice. Although I have only had a few brief encounters with her, it always struck me how vibrant of a person Janice was. Such a life need not be overshadowed by the dark cloud that took her. I hope that the sorrow of her passing can soon be overcome by relief that she is now without the pain and suffering endured on this earth. Another writer in this guestbook remarked that God must have needed another angel and Juan, I am sure this is the truth. Stay strong my friend and keep faith that someday you will be together again~

Dear Juan, may the Lord give you strength at this time. Janice will be missed a whole lot. But she is in a better place right now and I am sure she is looking down at you right now and will be taking care of you until you meet again. Janice was a great friend who would help anyone. I will defenetly miss her and her smile. She had a smile that would brighten up the darkest room. She was a sweet and loving person, not to mention very talented. All i can think of Juan, is that the Lord must have been in need of an Angel. And I am sure he will enjoy her company up there in heaven just as much as we did here on earth. God bless you Juan and all of Janice's family in this time of sorrow. Janice we love you!

Juan,

My heart aches for you and the loss of your "best friend"........

It didn't matter whether you knew Janice for 10 minutes or 10 years...you felt you had a lifelong friend from the start. This tall, beautiful, vivacious blonde that women envied at first sight had a way about her that drew you into her space, and as soon as you spoke to her the first time..... you stayed forever.

I know I will cherish every adventure we shared, our times in Savannah, St. Martin, San Antonio are most precious to me, as are all the times we shared together.

We have all lost our "friend" and we will miss this beautiful soul with a heart as big as Texas forever.

Love,
Terri-Jo
