Rose Latino Obituary

Rose M. (Balsamo) Latino, 86, formerly of Shrewsbury Street, died Saturday, August 25, 2007 at Overlook Masonic Health Center in Charlton. She was the wife of the late Frank P. Latino Sr., who died in 1996. She leaves three sons, Paul "Chicky" Latino of Worcester, Frank P. Latino Jr. of Amarillo, TX, Robert F. Latino of Brookfield, and one brother, Anthony Balsamo of Worcester, 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was also predeceased by a brother Ralph, sisters, Anne and Yolanda. Rose was born in Worcester daughter of Salvatore and Josephine (Petrolaise) Balsamo and lived most of her life in Worcester. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy, and was the owner, operator of the former Rose's Restaurant, Italian/American Diner at 82 Pleasant St., for 25 years retiring in 1991. A funeral Mass for Rose will be held on Friday, August 31st, at 11 A.M. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St., Worcester. The burial will be private at Brookfield Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before Mass at the church. Donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The Pillsbury Funeral Home, Old West Brookfield Rd., Brookfield is directing arrangements.

I will never forget all the times with Grandma Rosie when she lived with me. She was the best Grandma she could ever be and everyone in the neighborhood loved her and considered her their Grandma too. I LOVE YOU GRANDMA ROSIE! R.I.P
