Wakefield S. "Scottie" Jacobs Jr.

Wakefield S. "Scottie" Jacobs, Jr., 79, of 471 Podunk Road died Thursday, October 11, 2007, at the University of MA Memorial Healthcare in Worcester.

He was the husband of Stella (Posontek) Jacobs who died in 1992. He is survived by two sons, Kenneth S. and Gary W. Jacobs both of East Brookfield; one brother, Gerald Jacobs of Windham, Maine; two sisters, Virginia Wark and E. Lucille Pelletier both of East Brookfield; and a good friend, Lucille Sanborn of East Brookfield.

He was born in Greenfield, MA son of Wakefield S. and Grace (Doten) Jacobs Sr. and lived most of his life in East Brookfield. He was a WWII Navy Veteran. He worked at Charlton Woolen Mill and was head of maintenance at Capital Yeast in West Brookfield and was later a truck driver for both Capital Yeast and Rudnik & Meagher Inc.

Scottie loved hunting, gardening, antique cars, motorcycles, both Indian and Harley Davidson.

The funeral will be held on Monday, October 15th from the Pillsbury Funeral Home, 44 Gilbert Street, North Brookfield with a Mass at 10:00 A.M at St. John The Baptist Church, North Brookfield Road, East Brookfield. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, East Brookfield. Calling hours at the Pillsbury Funeral Home, 44 Gilbert Street will be on Sunday from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
