Mary Matrigali Obituary

Mary J. "Mae" (Dell'Olio) Matrigali, 81, of Worcester, passed away Wednesday, November 28th in the St. Vincent Hospital after being stricken ill at home.

Mary is survived by her husband and partner of 27 years, Robert P. Matrigali: three daughters:, Jacqueline Matrigali, Kathy Jarvis and her husband Robert, Nancy Markey and her husband John, all in Maryland; many nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews. Nine brothers:, Anthony, Leo, Maurice, Domenic, Alphonse, Vincent, Angelo, Joseph and Samuel Dell'Olio, and three sisters: Lucy Connena, Julia Dell'Olio and Josephine Panzero, all predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, her parents were the late Louis and Elizabeth (Catino) Dell'Olio, and has lived here all her life.

Mary worked over thirty years as a Worcester Superior Court Clerk before retiring in 1989.

Mary was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, the Retired State, County and Municipal employees Association. She loved to dance and travel.

The funeral will be held Saturday, December 1st from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester with a Mass at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St. Entombment will be in Notre Dame Mausoleum. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, November 30th in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Nazareth Home for Boys, 77 Mulberry St., Leicester, MA 01524.
