To the Annunziata family; I was deeply saddened to hear of Dave's passing. Carol, I don't know if you remember me or not. I was Dave's First Sergeant in the 288th Signal Co. He was one of the best soldiers I have ever known. Always willing to lend a hand and to do whatever necessary to get the mission accomplished. A fine gentleman and friend. He will be missed. May the peace of the Father comfort you during your time of grief. Sincerely James Gray CW4(ret)

Dear Carol and Family,
We were floored and heartbroken to hear that Dave has passed away. He was always the light in the neighborhood, literally and figuratively. We always looked forward to seeing him working in the yard and on the RV getting it ready for your next trip. However, we will be forever thankful to him for being our son, Matt's, hero when he got him out of the car after the car accident he had in front of your house. After Dave rescued him you both took him into your home to keep him safe until help could arrive. We will never be able to thank you enough. We know that Dave has a front seat in heaven for all of his kindnesses and generosity to others. God is truly blessed to have Dave with him because of the man he is. We just wanted to let you and your family know that we grieve his loss with you and want you to know we'll keep you all in our thoughts and prayers. Someday, soon, you'll be driving down the road and a thought of him will bring a bright smile to your face. That will be his gift of love to each of you.
God bless.
