Years come and go, but great memories linger forever. Ann Spott's daughter was coming to live next to us. Kids, motorcycles, diets, housework, husbands...we had it all. Too busy to walk next door, we would open our windows, munch skinny strawberries, and call to each other. Frustrated, I once called out an "I need something for dinner NOW!" SOS. Within minutes, Peggy had jotted down a recipe for Beef Stroganoff and kid delivered it to my door. Yum! I still have the original note. Here is what she wrote:
Round steak cut in cubes - brown it!
2 cans of cream of mushroom soup
1 pkg onion soup mix
1 can water
My family loved the food and fun had with such special neighbors. Beneath a "Tell it like it is" exterior, Peggy had one of the kindest, gentlest hearts I have known. May God bless each of you, her beloved family. God's mercy endures forever. John 3:16 Our current neighbors are pretty quiet! We will always miss you....a part of Wildwood Canyon's history.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Peggy Haggin. We grew up as next door neighbors. Peggy was a bit younger than I was but we spent a lot of good times together. She was over at our house quite a bit. I remember making up bed time stories to tell her when she spent the night. Over the years we have just kept in touch with Christmas cards. I did talk to her at Christmas time in 2008. I lost my husband and mother during that year and we had a good talk. I know you will miss her very much.

Terry and family,
The Watson family was deeply effected by the news of Peggy's passing. So many of our memories of Peggy are tied into the William S Hart complex. It takes a very special person to have dedicated the years of service to the baseball and softball leagues. Hundreds of kids, many now adults with children of their own, knew her from her hours of dedication to what we all called "The Canteen" She had a great friendship with Marge, and what stories they must have shared about their years together down at the complex!

We send a warm embrace to your entire family and hope you will find comfort in knowing how many lives that Peggy touched and all the memories she helped create.

Terry and kids,
I had Peggy on my world wide prayer list for several weeks. I have met Peggy a couple of times and I know you guys will miss her forever. I knew her to be a loving and kind person. Her brother Dennis is a best friend and brother-in-law. We are still asking God to show himself strong for all of her family and are praying that each of you know the Lord Jesus and one day can go and see her again.
