JOHN MCKAY WAS ONE OF THE FINEST PEOPLE I EVER KNEW. AS A STUDENT AT LEE HIGH I ALWAYS LOOKED UP TO HIM AND MIGHT I ADD, I HAD TO LOOK MIGHTY HIGH. HE INFLUENCED ME IN MANY WAYS AND WAS THE INSPIRATION FOR MY MANY YEARS IN THE CORPS. GOD BLESS A WONDERFUL MAN. HE MADE HIS MARK ON MANY YOUNG PEOPLE AND I CANNOT THINK OF A HIGHER TRIBUTE TO HIS LIFE THAN THAT.

About 40 years ago I played football for Coach McKay at Glasgow. John McKay taught us the skills necessary to survive in both football as well as in life itself. My sincere thanks to the man who gave so freely of his own time to help me make the right choices in life.
