To my backyard neighbors all of my pre-adult life, I am very sorry that I could not come home for Mr. Cavaliere's funeral. I hope that you have peace and comfort knowing that your loved one is with God as there is no doubt in my mind that's where he is. Life will never be the same without him, but you do have such good family memories and values to pass down to your children and grandchildren that your mom & dad instilled in you. You are more fortunate than most! (You could have grown up in the other house with 7 kids across the yard...and never knew what peace was about) :0) Those great memories will carry you through the pain and heartache you feel right now and in the days to come.

May God comfort you all as you go through the grieving process.

Love and prayers to all,

Lucille DeBenedetto, Kayla & Jared D'Amico

To our dear family,

Dad leaves behind a legacy of honor that will remain for generations. His love for life and family goes without saying for those who knew him. His faith though private carried him through his years and especially his final hours. He testified to this in his actions and especially in his last moments when with diminishing strength he found a reserve of remaining energy to make the sign of his faith after prayer with his loved ones. The following scripture passage characterizes him so well.

The time of my departure has come. I have fought the good fight. I have finished the course. I have kept the faith. From now on, there is stored up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give to me on that day; and not to me only, but also to all those who have loved his appearing.

Finally, it was once said of Vince Lombardi that those who will miss him most are the ones who never got to know him. This certainly applies to LeRoy Cavaliere Sr.

God's Peace,

Audy, Brenda, Kelly & Cory Bourgeois
