Francine Herman Obituary
A memorial service for Fran Herman will be held on Friday, July 18th, from 2-4 p.m., at the Cornell University Alice Cook House, which is located at the junction of Stewart and University Avenues, in Ithaca, NY. It is intended to be an informal celebration of Fran's life, and to allow us to share stories about Fran and how she affected our lives. Come and join us if you can, and bring stories, jokes and reminiscences. If you are unable to be there in person, but would like to share your memories, please send them to Paul Herman at [email protected], or to 7025 SW 84th Avenue, Portland, OR 97223, and he will make sure to pass them on to all. Thanks for all your notes and support over the last month.

I deeply regret that I am not in Ithaca this summer and will not be able to attend the memorial service for Fran. For years she and Alice Cook were wise mentors to many of us (then younger) faculty women. She had a great positive impact on Cornell in general and Cornell women in particular.
