May I express my sympathy to the McIlroy family at this time. I graduated with Jack from the Watkins Glen High School in the Class of 1942. Although I did not know him too well I remember him as one who was full of life and one who was well liked by his classmates. Jack's sister, Annie, was a good friend of my mother, Mildred Holly, of Reading Center. During the times of my mother staying with us here in Michigan after my father's death she and Annie corresponded with each other on a regular basis. In the middle 1980s Annie and her husband, George, as well as Jack's sister, Florence, visited my mother here at our home. Florence's husband, Kenneth, was the undertaker who had my father's funeral in 1968. In the course of doing family research I found I was related to Kenneth, who was descended from the Peck family of Lodi with connections to the Town of Reading Pecks. My parents as well as many other family members are buried in the Pleasant View Cemetery in Reading Center. My sincere condolences to a family who will sorely miss your loved one.
