Ronald Simons Obituary
TACOMA, WA - Ronald L. Simons, age 74, of Tacoma, WA, and formerly of Ithaca and Groton, died Tuesday, August 12, 2008, in Tacoma. Survivors include a sister, Viola S. Lane and a brother, Lester Simons, both of Dryden; a sister-in-law, Cella M. Simons of Dryden; a brother-in-law, Lawrence Manca of Utica; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 23, 2008, at the Perkins Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Rose officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden. Friends are invited to call from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, 55 West Main St., Dryden. Memorials are directed to a charity of one's choice.

Viola and Les,
I was so sorry to hear that Ronnie had passed away. It has been many years since I had seen him but I remember all of the good times that we used to have with him at family reuions and at our family Christmas gatherings. I remember riding his first horse Rita at the old fair grounds and later when he had the farm. We sure had alot of fun back then.
Sorry I couldn't make it up for the service but I was thinking about you both.

I remember Uncle Ronnie from our family reunions - particularly the ones at Cayuga Lake where he would get a running start and run into the lake as fast as he could.
Also riding horses on his farm. He was a nice man.

To all my other family members,
I am deeply saddened by the loss of Uncle Ron. He was a loving and caring man. I have so many fond memories of him from the time I was real little to more recent years. I know he will be missed greatly.
Though I won't be able to attend the services, you will all be in my thoughts and prayers.
